1. Overview

The quality assurance system of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) is implemented based on the PDCA cycle (Plan – Do – Check – Act) to ensure that educational activities are systematically managed and continuously improved.

The PDCA cycle serves as the foundation for the design, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of academic programs in alignment with national and international higher education quality assurance standards.

2. PDCA Model

The PDCA cycle consists of four main stages:

a) Plan

At this stage, the Institute performs the following activities:

  • Developing program objectives and Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
  • Designing curriculum structures and course contents
  • Developing course syllabi (including CLOs, teaching methods, and assessment methods)
  • Identifying educational resources (faculty members, facilities, and learning materials)

Objective

To ensure that academic programs are designed in alignment with labor market demands and accreditation standards.

b) Do

At this stage, educational activities are implemented according to the established plans:

  • Organizing teaching and learning activities
  • Applying teaching methods aligned with learning outcomes
  • Implementing student assessment activities
  • Organizing internships, capstone projects, and scientific research activities

Objective

To ensure that educational processes are implemented according to the designed plans and achieve effectiveness.

c) Check

The Institute collects and analyzes data to evaluate educational quality through:

  • Student surveys on courses and teaching activities
  • Alumni and employer surveys
  • Assessment of learning outcome achievement levels
  • Analysis of student academic performance

Objective

To determine the extent to which educational objectives are achieved and identify areas requiring improvement.

d) Act

Based on evaluation results, the Institute implements improvement activities, including:

  • Revising academic programs and course contents
  • Updating teaching and assessment methods
  • Introducing new courses based on emerging technology trends
  • Enhancing faculty competencies and improving facilities
