Towards Accreditation in 2027

In order to continuously enhance educational quality and meet accreditation requirements, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) is implementing the 2026 Educational Quality Self-Assessment Plan for institutional accreditation and several key academic programs.

1. Objectives

  • Conduct educational quality self-assessment in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and international standards;
  • Develop the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) as the foundation for external assessment in 2027;
  • Review, improve, and enhance educational quality across the Institute;
  • Strengthen quality culture and data-driven university governance.

2. Scope of Implementation

a) Institutional Level

  • Conduct mid-cycle institutional quality self-assessment.

b) Academic Program Level

The following academic programs will undergo self-assessment:

  • Automation Engineering
  • Financial Technology (FinTech)
  • Journalism

3. Implementation Contents

The self-assessment plan will be implemented through the following main stages:

(1) Preparation

  • Issuing the implementation plan and establishing self-assessment teams;
  • Organizing training sessions on accreditation standards and self-assessment methodologies.

(2) Data Collection and Standardization

  • Collecting supporting evidence for each criterion;
  • Standardizing data from academic management systems, surveys, and quality assurance systems.

(3) Development of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR)

  • Assigning report writing tasks according to each criterion;
  • Reviewing and finalizing SAR draft versions.

(4) Internal Review

  • Conducting internal reviews;
  • Organizing mock assessments;
  • Identifying strengths and areas for improvement.

(5) Finalization of Documentation

  • Finalizing the SAR;
  • Preparing a comprehensive evidence system for external assessment.

5. Organization and Responsibilities

  • The Testing and Educational Quality Assurance Center serves as the focal unit for implementation;
  • Faculties/Institutes and functional units cooperate in providing data and supporting evidence;
  • The Educational Quality Assurance Council supervises implementation and provides recommendations for improvement.

6. Significance of the Plan

The implementation of the 2026 self-assessment plan is an important preparation step for PTIT to:

  • Be ready for external assessment in 2027;
  • Affirm educational quality according to national and international standards;
  • Enhance institutional governance capacity and international integration in higher education.
